Inflammation around that normally happens around the joints such as the knees or elbows is known as gout. Many everyday things that need to be done can cause a person with gout pain, thing like putting on pants or walking. Sometimes gout is cause from higher then normal uric acids in the body, unlike joints. These acids a caused to go up when there is a diet high in meat. Other reasons for gout to appear in the body is dehydration, binge drinking, or a recent operation.
Gout can be treated in other ways other then medicating. By keeping your intake of fluids up you can reduce some of the pain and may terminate sudden gout attacks, which is not like gout at all. There have been studies done that have proved that eating cherries and strawberries along with not eating ample amounts of red meat can help in the treatment of gout. Also avoid alcohol and smoking.
If you suddenly have a gout attack be sure to rest that part of your body. Put no pressure on that part and do not try to walk it off at all. This happens to be an arthritis that can not be cured with ease so you should talk with your doctor about medication. This is not like inflammation most of the time. Gout has many different medications that can help it so talk to your doctor about what should help you out.
You need to never ignore your gout problem if you suspect that you have it then talk to your doctor. There are axially some cases where the gout will heal itself for some time. But you do not ant it to stay in your joints so it is best to see you doctor about this problem.
