WALL-E is in all likelihood the cuddliest film ever made

I just recently snapped up a copy of Wall-E Blu-ray and I have to say it’s stronger than I anticipated it to be. After many of depressed years of being, well, a robot, WALL-E (short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) finds a new purpose in living (besides accumulating knick-knacks) when he encounters a smooth search robot called EVE.
Wall-E is latest movie from from Pixar Animation, it contains the voices of stars including the forever funny Fred Willard. It as well stars the beautiful Sigourney Weaver and equally humorous Jeff Garlin and of course Pixar mainstay – John Ratzenberger. Brining In over $221 million has guaranteed Wall-E as new superstar for Pixar.
Finding Nemo director Andrew Stanton passes himself with this endearingly loopy Pixar animation that sends up consumerism, musicals, Apple computers, and 2001: A Space Odyssey. The confidence and skill with which Stanton’s team have extended the parameters of their art form are impressive.
Nonetheless while you can cheer Pixar for attempting to raise the stakes with Wall-E DVD, but the farther the film passes the more one values the impact of that amazing initial half-hour. The movie feels weirdly, and disappointingly, disjointed, something that begins out as poetry and finishes as product.
WALL-E is probably the sweetest film ever made about men ruining the earth. Not just is this a grand Sci-Fi picture, it’s also easily one of the most affectionate! Discounting this as just another youngsters movie is not simply unfair to the picture, it’s unfair to you.
